FRESHLY ISSUED COVID GUIDELINES BY ODISHA GOVERNMENT

Night curfews from 9 pm, schools and colleges are closed, no mass gatherings, no cultural events, trade fair ,get together are allowed

(The Quiver) Odisha government issued fresh covid guidelines on viewing the rapid increasing infections rate. The state government has imposed mandatory guidelines to be followed from 7th January,2022 till 1st February,2022.

Have a serious reading on the fresh guidelines imposed by the state government –

  • All schools and colleges upto 12th standard shall remain close. However, classes will be conducted on online mode. Doubt clearing classes will be conducted for students of class 10 to class 12 in small batches. The summative examination will be continued.
  • A maximum of 100 people will be allowed to participate in government official meeting or training programme. 
  • The opening timings for shops and malls, shopping complex will be from 5A.M to 9 P.M. The mall owners will ensure the persons entering the mall are thoroughly screened for temperature, properly masked and maintaining physical distance from one another. Foods will be taken by parcels, consuming food in mall premises is restricted.
  • Markets, Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment complexes, theatres, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places shall be closed by 9.00 PM.
  • Cinema halls will have to run with 50% capacity.
  • Jatra and open-air theatres will operate with only 1000 spectators.
  • Only double vaccinated persons shall be allowed to enter market complexes. Not more than 4 buyers will be allowed in 100 sq. feet shop space like small shop outlets. Overcrowding will not be allowed in public places like markets, shops, cinema halls, etc.
  • Hotels and bars can accommodate only 50% of their seating capacity.
  • Guests in marriages and thread ceremony reduced to 100.
  • No cultural events, trade fair.
  • No socio-religious and cultural events at any hotel, park and other public places.

Meanwhile, the SRC said that in case of any violation of guidelines at mall and shop, the owner of the same will be responsible and as per the Pandemic Act and the concerned outlet will be shut down for 7 days. He also issued warned strict action against any kind of picnic in public and tourist places.

Earlier today, 24 more cases of the Omicron variant were detected in the State, taking the tally to 61. Of the new Omicron cases, 5 positives were foreign returnees while 19 others are cases of local contacts.
