INDIA ENTERS ELITE SWARM LEAGUE

(The Quiver) : This year on India’s Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav celebrations , Beating Retreat Ceremony will be memorable for its iconic show representation . One of the grand shows to be represented today will be the Swarm Drone Show .

During the 10 minutes show 1,000 drones will  fly in synchronous with the background music by taking the forms of various shapes and sizes during Beating Retreat ceremony . With this show India will enter the elite league of nations becoming the fourth country to conduct this grand drone show of such a huge size only after Russia, US and China. 1000 drones to be used in the show will be controlled  by using a single computer.  India has utilized its own design and technology for this mega swarm show performance. This novel drone show is conceptualized ,designed ,produced and choreographed ingeniously under ‘Make in India’ initiative by a start-up, supported by IIT-Delhi and the department of science & technology.

The government of India has arranged this large scale swarm light show in which around 1,000 drones will be performing together in a coordinated synchronized manner. These drones (hardware) and technologies (software) – are made -in- India.

10 large LED screens are installed at the majestic Rajpath for the easy access of the audience. Some seats are also arranged for auto drivers, construction workers, sanitation and frontline health workers at the event.

Considering upon the safety during the show, each drone has been equipped with a ‘kill switch’ that gets activated in case a machine suffers a malfunction and shall gradually fall to the ground.

The show is all set for today’s evening performance after thorough rehearsals has been completed. This marks the beginning of Swarm Drone era for India paving path for future commercial, military and other tactical applications where swarms play a pivotal role in a plethora of operations. Soon, India will be carrying out its drone services like the highly developed Countries , Japan , China and The US.
