DHONI ‘S NEW ATHARVA AVATAR
(The Quiver) : After the biopic film release, now its right time for releasing the new age graphic novel. Yes, Captain cool is popular for his trend setting styles, be it his helicopter shot or his unique hairstyles or his collection of expensive bikes and supercars. Now the Two-time World Cup winning skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of the most successful Indian captains, will be seen as a warrior leader and superhero in his first graphic novel “Atharva”.
MS Dhoni’s first look is released via a video clip in which Captain coolo Mahi is seen in a macho animated avatar. In the first look clip, Dhoni made his appearance in an animated avatar on a battlefield, fighting against a demon-like army. Dhoni is exploring new things after retiring from international cricket and ‘Atharva’ is one among that.
The title of this sci-fi web series is Atharva – The Origin. The graphic novel is authored by Ramesh Thamilmani, produced by Vincent Adaikalaraj and Ashok Manor and headed by MVM Vel Mohan.
Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni is the managing director of Dhoni Entertainment .Speaking about producing the series to media, she said,“The book is a mythological sci-fi which explores the journey of a mysterious Aghori who has been captured at a high-tech facility. The secrets revealed by this Aghori could alter the myths of the ancient, beliefs of the existing and course of the forthcoming”.
“We would like to ensure that we execute all the aspects of this universe and bring out every character and story to the screen, with as much precision as possible. Web-series fit our purpose better than adapting it into a feature film,” quoted Sakshi.
