IPL Auction: Odisha Cricketer Subhranshu Senapati Goes To CSK For Rs 20L

(The Quiver): Odia cricketer Subhranshu Senapati will be playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in this season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK has paid Rs 20 lakh for the Ranji Trophy player from Odisha.

Keonjhar born Senapati made his debut for Odisha in 2016-17 Ranji season. Senapati, 25, is a middle-order batsman and is also handy with the ball, will be one of the few Odisha cricketers to play for the IPL.

Senapati captained the Odisha team in the recently concluded group-stage of the BCCI Vijay Hazare Trophy.He was called up for the trials by Chennai Super Kings for his recent performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
