CHOOSE LIFE OVER SELFIE : SELFIE-MANIA CAN FINISH YOU

(The Quiver) : In the present digital era , most of the  people prefer living in mobile phones rather than living in real world . This line may appear weird but its exactly our reality. The present generation is very badly addicted to mobiles even they pay no heed to the happenings around them. While walking and driving , people are engaged in mobiles which consequences are accidents and deaths.

People selfies obsessions are taking them to dangerous modes in life. Some people conduct dangerous activities to click  unique selfies while some are so much involved in clicking selfies that they are inattentive towards the happenings around them. One such instance of selfie mania took lives of four men.

Four men were run over by a train when they were allegedly clicking selfies on the tracks near Basai Dhankot railway station in Sector 9B, Gurugram, on Tuesday evening. As confirmed by police, they have been able to ascertain the identity of only one of the men and are working to identify the rest. They added that all the men appeared to be in their 20s.

Police said that railway traffic was not affected as such, since the bodies were sent for an autopsy soon after the accident.

Ramphal , the station house officer, Gurugram government railway police station, identified one of deceased men as one Sameer Kumar, a resident of Devi Lal Colony in Sector 9 , Gurugram.

According to the information of SHO, the Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Ajmer Jan Shatabdi Express had run over the four men, presumed to be friends. The driver of the train informed the police that the men were standing on the tracks clicking selfies when the train was approaching at high speed, and that he could not apply the brakes on time.

“The train left Gurugram railway station at 4.48pm. Before the train could reach the next station–Basai Dhankot–in the next five minutes, the accident took place,” said Ramphal.

Our youth needed to be aware about how selfie mania can be live threatening. Its better to click selfie being concerned about own and others lives because life is valuable than selfies ,once life is lost it can’t be regained again. Hope our readers will take our message seriously.
