Odisha Election commission Ordered  Police To Ensure Secure Polling

(The Quiver) : Today is the first day of Panchayat elections. In the first day of elections in State many violent activities and indiscipline came up to view of Election commission. Even serious fights during the polling made the election processes even difficult to conduct. Specifically violent activities are noticed in the districts of Puri and Jajpur , the miscreants in the polling made it difficult to carry out the normal election processes in the polling booth of those districts. The miscreants even found attacking on the media reporters who were covering news.

Looking upon the harsh situations in disturbed polling booths, the election commission ordered the police to ensure discipline in polling areas and to take appropriate steps against the miscreants . The present law and order situation in the first day of third phase Panchayat elections found very disappointing in the state .
