INDIA TO SEND SECOND STRING TEAM FOR TWO T20Is AGAINST IRELAND

(The Quiver): Cricket Ireland on Tuesday confirmed India’s tour of Ireland in June. The World No. 1 T20I side is all set to play 2 T20is on June 26 and 28 before the start of their England tour.

Ireland, who qualified for the T20 World Cup in 2022, will play white-ball series against India, New Zealand, South Africa and Afghanistan over a 2-month period, the Cricket Ireland said.

As per the developments, India are all but likely to field two sides simultaneously. While the first-choice team will meet England in the rescheduled fifth Test, a second-string side will visit Ireland for two T20Is on June 26 and 28 respectively.

With the schedule being so hectic, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also concerned about the bio-bubble fatigue. Owing to the same, breaks will be given to Indian players when required.
