What are Vacuum Bombs? Why they should not be used in war?

Vacuum bombs produce the same destruction effect as an atomic bomb during an explosion. Vacuum bombs are also called thermobaric weapons and are different and dangerous from other bombs because they do not use ammo for explosions. Vacuum bomb works in two phases , first it absorbs the oxygen present in the atmosphere and then in the second phase it explodes . As a result of this explosion , first ultrasonic shockwaves are emitted following which the temperature suddenly rises high in a large area . The heat increases so much that in cases any human present there , his body and bones can melt. Imagine, those who are in the range of this bang, their bodies are not even left.

Such bombs are capable of exploding with the power of 44 tons of TNT. The explosions are capable burn an area of 300 meters to ashes . That’s why it’s also called the Father of All Bombs.

This is not the first time the bombs have been used in war. Reports suggest that they were used by the Soviet Union against China in 1969 . The US had used them to target Al-Qaeda and Russia  had also used them during the Chechen war.

However , According to international law and the Geneva Treaty, the use of such bombs in any military conflict is considered prohibited. The Geneva Convention came into force in 1928 after the First World War . The Geneva Convention has ensured that if a country uses any kind of chemical and biological weapons in war, the country will be held guilty of war crimes and that country can also be prosecuted in the International Court of Justice. After impositions of  the economic sanctions, now Russia can also be prosecuted for war crimes.

Now whether Russia has used vacuum Bomb on Ukraine or not? how authentic are the allegations on Russia? can be only known after the conduction of proper investigations . If Russia is using vacuum bombs in war then it should be stopped immediately due to the dangerous consequences of vacuum bombs explosion on lives and environment.
