TIMES REVERSED : ONCE SIDHU WAS LAUGHING ON BHAGWANT MANN , NOW WHO IS LAUGHING ON WHOM?

(The Quiver) : There was a time when Navjot Singh Sidhu used to laugh at Bhagwant Mann . But now the scenario is completely different. Times seem to have reversed now Bhagwant Mann is laughing and Sidhu happiness vanished after Punjab election results announcement.

It was 2006. Bhagwant Mann was on stage cracking jokes. Navjot Singh Sidhu used to sit on the other side and judge the contestants of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge as they come up one by one.”I asked a politician what rajneeti (politics) means. He told me it is the act of deciding how to govern. Then I asked what gormint (government) means. He said it means those who gaur (look closely) at each issue only to forget it a mint (minute) later,” Bhagwant Mann chuckled, not knowing that the joke would gain a whole new layer of irony years later.

Judging his act, Navjot Singh Sidhu burst into laughter.But Bhagwant Mann was not the winner of that season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Clearly, the judge, Navjot Singh Sidhu, thought someone else was funnier.

Now, it’s 2022. As per current trends, the Aam Aadmi Party has won a majority and to form the next government in Punjab. As the party’s chief ministerial face, Bhagwant Mann is all set to become Punjab’s next chief minister while Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu is himself trailing in Amritsar East.

It is cleared that the next five years are going to be Bhagwant Mann’s golden times while Navjot Singh Sidhu will have give his hardest efforts to prove himself again.
