CHANNI RESIGNS AS CM , CONGRESS RULE IN PUNJAB CAME TO AN END

(The Quiver) : Today , Charanjit Channi submitted his resignation as the chief minister of Punjab to the governor after the declaration of elections results on thursday .With this 4 long years and 360 days rule of Indian national Congress came to an end.

He said, “The governor told me and the cabinet to continue until the new Government is sworn in. I accept the people’s mandate”. On Thursday as well, Channi congratulated the Aam Aadmi Party for its landslide victory in Punjab, and extended thanks to the people.

As per the AAP sources , CM designate Bhagwant mann is likely to take oath on March 16.

The outgoing Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi left his last message for the people of Punjab after submission of his resignation to the governor in Chandigarh , “We will always be there to serve the people of Punjab. We will continue to fulfill our duties and be among them. I request the new government to continue the public welfare projects and schemes that we introduced in the last 111 days”.

With this the new era of AAP’s government has started in Punjab . Many opposition leaders congratulated AAP’s supremo Arvind Kejriwal upon this victorious win in Punjab. PM Modi was one of them who congratulated Delhi CM Kejriwal . On recieving this congratulatory message , he posted “thank you sir ” on his twitter handle.
