KARNATAKA COLLEGE STUDENTS WALKED OUT OF EXAM HALL OPPOSING HIGH COURT VERDICT

(The Quiver) : After the Karnataka High Court gave its verdict on the hijab row case earlier the day, students of Surapura Taluk Kembavi Government PU College in Yadgir, Karnataka, boycotted the exam and left , opposing high Court decision.

The students had a preparatory examination and after the verdict was pronounced,35 of the students walked out of the college . The exam started at 10 am and was supposed to get over by 1 pm but after hearing about the verdict they left the exam hall.

The principal of the college, Shakuntala (uses first name), said that she appealed to the students to follow the orders of Karnataka High Court. “But they refused and walked out of the examination hall. A total of 35 students walked out of the college,” she said.

Meanwhile, the students said they would discuss the verdict with the parents and then decide whether they would attend the class without wearing hijab and if necessary they will take the case to the Supreme Court.
