“I am the chief minister of even those who did not vote for me….the work will begin from Today”: BHAGWANT MANN IN OATH TAKING CEREMONY

(The Quiver): Today, AAP leader Bhagwant Mann takes oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab in the presence of Governor Banwarilal Purohit .  During the ceremony newly-elected AAP MLAs, Delhi Chief Minister  Arvind Kejriwal    and other senior party leaders were also present .

The swearing-in ceremony held at Bhagat Singh’s ancestral village Khatkar Kalan, Mann ended his speech with ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ (long live the revolution).’Jo Bole So Nihal’, following him the slogan was then chanted by the crowds.

Mann after taking oath as the 18th CM  of Punjab said the work will begin from today.

Promising people that not a day will be wasted , Bhagwant Mann said  that people will visit Punjab just like they visit Delhi to see its schools and mohalla clinics. Before ending his speech Mann quoted another verse: “Hukumat vo karte hain jinka dilon par raj hota hai, yun to kehne ko murge ke sar pe bhi taaj hota hai (The ones who rule are those who rule hearts, crowns even rest on roosters’ heads).”

What Mann said to people who had not voted him?
“I am the chief minister of even those who did not vote for me; this is their government as well and we will work for them as well. This is a democracy and everyone has the right [to choose a political ideology]. I don’t want people to think I am arrogant,” he said.


Why Mann asked people to not leave their motherland ? and how will Mann solve the problems of unemployment and farming sectors?
Bhagwant Mann said that Bhagat Singh was worried about India after Independence. “We will stay here and ensure the progress of our land. From unemployment to farming — we shall fix everything and find solutions to the smallest of problems. We will build schools and hospitals in Punjab. All we need is your blessing,” Mann said.

Why Mann did not choose palaces and stadiums for the ceremony?
Mann said earlier functions happened in palaces and stadiums. “Let’s pledge that the martyrs should be remembered every day and not just on particular days,” he said.
What Mann said about Kejriwal?
Mann praised AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and said that he had transformed national politics.
