NOW AFGHAN WOMEN CAN’T FLY WITHOUT A MALE RELATIVE : TALIBAN
New Delhi (The Quiver) : Women are taken as mere objects and toys for Taliban . Day by day Taliban is imposing new bans on women. Thus snatching away their basic rights of living.
After shutting down secondary schools for Afghani girls , now Taliban has restricted women from travelling alone. As per Taliban orders a woman can only take a flight if she takes a male relative with her.
As reported by aviation officials to AFP ,” The Taliban have ordered airlines in Afghanistan to stop women from boarding flights unless accompanied by a male relative”.
Two officials from Afghanistan’s Ariana Afghan airline and Kam Air said late on Sunday that the Taliban had ordered them to stop boarding women if they were travelling alone. The decision was taken after a meeting on Thursday between representatives of the Taliban, the two airlines and airport immigration authorities, the officials told AFP.
A letter issued by a senior official of Ariana Afghan to the airline’s staff after the meeting with the Taliban which states, “No women are allowed to fly on any domestic or international flights without a male relative.”
“Some women who were travelling without a male relative were not allowed to board a Kam Air flight from Kabul to Islamabad on Friday,” a passenger who was on that flight told AFP.
An Afghan woman with a US passport was also not allowed to board a flight to Dubai on Friday, another source said.
Viewing upon all these a big question arises on the International Human Rights Council , Is the council only limited to discussion? Why the council is not responding actively to save the basic human rights of Afghani Women?
