NITIN GADKARI’S HYDROGEN POWERED CAR VS RISING PETROL PRICE

New Delhi (The Quiver) : Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday stepped down from a green hydrogen-powered car at the Parliament . The minister travelled from his residence to Parliament in this car. It is the first of its kind in India, and Gadkari wants people in India to use this type of cars to make our country free from air pollution.

Nitin Gadkari said , “the hydrogen car is the future, Prime Minister Modi has also mentioned this and this is a big step towards becoming a self-reliant India. Petrol diesel causes pollution, but hydrofuel cell cars do not cause pollution.”

Further elaborating on the car, he said, “There are three types of hydrogen. It is green hydrogen and its price will be Rs 1.5 per kilometer. Its Japanese name is Mirai.”

Earlier this month, the minister had launched India’s first hydrogen-based advanced Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, the Toyota Mirai.
