COVID CASES AGAIN RISING IN INDIA

New Delhi (The Quiver) : After a long pause , a large spike in COVID infections is again found in India. Delhi has now registered 632 new COVID-19 cases, 26% higher then yesterday and zero deaths in the last 24 hours.

COVID-19 cases have once again started increasing in the country but the biggest concern is about Delhi-NCR. Cases in Delhi-NCR have increased rapidly in the last few days as compared to other parts of the country. 

The cases in Delhi today rose 26% to 632 since yesterday. The positive rate of affirmed cases every 100 tests tumbled from 7.72 percent yesterday to 4.42 percent today.

Data reveals, On April 11, the positivity rate remained at 2.70 percent, which jumped to 3.95 percent on April 15, trailed by 5.33 percent on April 16, and 7.72 percent on April 18.

Meanwhile, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is scheduled to meet on April 20 as the national capital observes a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. The discussion will likely be held on imposing further restrictions.
