Mumbai (The Quiver) Union Finance minister reached the stage holding a glass and a water bottle. Her kind action is appreciated everywhere in the country. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is praised in social media for offering water to the Managing Director of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), Padmaja Chunduru, who was giving a speech during an event in Mumbai to celebrate the silver jubilee of NSDL on Saturday.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had launched the NSDL’s investor awareness programme ‘Market Ka Eklavya’ for students in Hindi and other regional languages.

The viral video from the event shows, Ms Chunduru is seen pausing and gesturing for water mid-speech. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman walks across the stage and offers a water bottle to Ms Chunduru.

Ms Chunduru thanked the Finance Minister for her kind gesture and the audience claps in appreciation.

Ms Sitharaman speaking about “Market ka Eklavya’ said, “Through ‘Market ka Eklavya’, you will be able to reach out to many who are in need of financial literacy. It is the right time when people have an inclination to know about the market and also the right approach taken by NSDL by educating the students.”
