HOCKEY ASIA CUP 2022 : INDIA WINS BRONZE BEATING JAPAN
(The Quiver) : On Wednesday , India won bronze medal in the Hockey Asia Cup 2022.The match was held between India and Japan at Jakarta’s GBK Sports Complex Hockey Stadium.
Rajkumar Pal managed to put India ahead early in the first quarter after which the team managed to hold on to the lead. Japan had seven penalty corners while India had just two but India led the circle penetration stats 11-10. India team was down to 10 men in the last minute of the match but they managed to hold on and win their second bronze medal at the Asia Cup.
Indian team could not make it to the finals of the tournament after a thrilling 4-4 draw with Korea ,owing to a poor goal difference in the Super 4s pool table.
