WHO WILL BE THE 15TH PRESIDENT OF INDIA? EC WILL ANNOUNCE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION SCHEDULE BY 3PM

New Delhi (The Quiver) : The Election Commission (EC) will announce the schedule for the presidential election today at 3 PM.  According to reports, the poll  dates will be announced during a presser addressed by the commission.

The term of President Ram Nath Kovind will end by July 25. According to the article of constitution ,the next president must be elected by the ending term of the present president.

The President of India is elected by an electoral college constituting of 776 parliamentarians and 4,120 legislators. The  total strength of the electoral college is 10,98,903 votes. The winning candidate must at least get 50 per cent plus one vote to be declared elected.

Ram Nath Kovind had secured 65.35 per cent in the 2017 Presidential polls to become the 14th president of India. Who will be the 15th president of India ? is eagerly awaited by the whole country.
