(The Quiver) : The popular Canadian singer Justin Bieber taking it to instagram informed his fans about a serious disease that he is suffering from. In his 3-minute video , it can be seen that the singer is not able to blink his one eye. He explained the details of his condition in the video, which was viewed by14 million people in just very hours.
Justin Bieber is suffering from a rare syndrome called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. It causes facial paralysis, due to this his right side of the Grammy winner’s face is paralysed.
In the video, he shows his followers how he can barely move the right half of his face due to partial paralysis. He said, “As you can see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and it is from this virus that attacks the facial nerves in my ear and causes paralysis.”
According to the Mayo clinic, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome attacks facial nerves and is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox.
The Canadian singer also reveals he is unsure of how long it will take him to heal completely. But the singer has shown a positive attitude about what he is going through. He says, , “It will go back to normal. We just don’t know how much time it is going to take. It’s going to be okay. I trust God and this is all for a reason. I just don’t know why right now.”
He also revealed that he was doing facial exercises to get his face back to normal. He further adds,I’ll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a hundred percent, so that I can do what I was born to do.”
