CHHATTISGARH BOREWELL MISHAP: 11-YO RAHUL RETURNS HOME FROM HOSPITAL

(The Quiver): Rahul Sahu, who was rescued after 110 hours after being trapped in an 80-ft deep borewell at Pihrid village in Malkharoda block, was today discharged from hospital.

On June 10, Rahul had fell into the borewell in the backyard of his residence in Pihrid village of Malkharoda development block while playing.

After his rescue from the borewell, 11-year-old Rahul was taken to Bilaspur Apollo Hospital and was in ICU under the supervision of a team of specialist doctors.

And now after 10-days of treatment in the hospital, the doctor has discharged him.

Rahul’s mother who accompanied him from the hospital said, “I am thankful to all the administrative officials and doctors who helped my boy recover from that trauma.”I am very happy that my boy is returning home after winning the battle against death,” she said.

Similarly, his father was ecstatic with the welcome the villagers and administration bestowed upon his son. Speaking to the reporters, he said, “The atmosphere here today is electrifying. People have gone to lengths to welcome my son to the village.”

“I will leave no stone unturned to make him feel loved and cared,” his father added.

The Sub-Collector also came down to the village to see Rahul off. “We have made elaborate arrangements for him here at the village with a medical officer stationed at this village to oversee his recovery.”

“We will ensure that Rahul gets all the necessary medical attention here at his home,” the sub-collector said.
