UDAIPUR MURDER ACCUSED ARE LINKED WITH PAKISTAN’S DAWAT-E-ISLAMI

(The Quiver) : Attacks in Hindustan are planned in Pakistan.The brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur has sparked outrage across the nation. The union home ministry has directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take over the investigation.

A day after the murder ,DGP ML Lather cleared that one of the two accused in the case had gone to Karachi in Pakistan in 2014 and had links with Dawat-e-Islami.Talking about the possible link of one of the accused to Dawat-e-Islami, DGP Lather informed that the group’s people are active in Kanpur, and have an office in Delhi and Mumbai.Dawat-e-Islami, a religious movement based in Pakistan which claims to be a non-profit entity propagating the message of Prophet Muhammad.

DGP Lather said that the two accused- Mohammad Riaz and Ghouse Mohammad- have been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The police have detained three more people in connection with the killing so far.

“One of the accused, Ghouse Mohammad, has links with the Karachi-based Islamist organisation Dawat-e-Islami. He had visited Karachi in 2014. So far, we have detained five people, including the two prime accused,” PTI quoted DGP Lather .

The DGP said that the police are also probing the trans-border terrorism links in the case. Digital evidence is also being checked.
