INTER SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT TO BEGIN FROM JULY 9

Bhubaneswar (The Quiver) :The Inter School Basketball Tournament is set to be played on July 9-10 at the KT Global School. For the first time, the Inter School Basketball Tournament will be played on the KT Global School campus. The IIG Sports Academy is providing a new and world-class platform for contestants to connect with basketball.

The entry fee for each team is Rs 1,000.The boys’ champions will be awarded Rs 7,000 with trophies and the runners-up Rs 5,000 with trophies. Similarly, in the girls’ category, the winning team will be awarded Rs 7,000 with trophies .

The runners-up team of both categories will be awarded Rs 5,000 each along with a trophy. Competitions will be played in both the boys and girls categories. The purpose of the tournament is to provide players with grassroots infrastructure, to promote basketball in Odisha from the school level, to promote basketball and to create new opportunities for talent.

The Tournament will be League based till Quarterfinal and Knock-out basis after that. Around 24 Teams (16 Boys team & 8 Girls team) from Private as well as Govt. Schools from Bhubaneswar Khordha city will be participating .

For the first time, the Inter School Basketball Tournament will be played on the KT Global School campus.

KDBA Member and Coach – Mr. Aruna Kumar Mishra, IIG Sports Academy Director Mr. Chinmay Pradhan and Mr. Sanjay Chaudhury, KT Global School Managing Trustee – Mr Somdutt Behura, Chief Mentor Advisor – Mr. Arun K Das, Director- Purnashish Rath, KT Global School Principal – Mrs. Sabita Panda and Vice-Principal of KT Global School Mrs. Anuradha Ghosh, have attended the press meet today.
