BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR BECOMES FIRST BOWLER TO BOWL 500 DOT BALLS IN T20 HISTORY

(The Quiver): Bhuvneshwar Kumar now holds distinctive world record. With the incredible stint, India’s illustrious bowler destroyed England’s batting order and went on to become the first bowler to bowl 500 dots balls in powerplays in T20I.

Bhuvneshwar gave India a great start in defending 171 as the 32-year-old senior pacer removed English opener Jason Roy for a golden duck on the first delivery of the England innings during the second T20I in Birmingham on Saturday.

West Indies spinner Samuel Badree (383), Kiwi quick Tim Southee (368) are the next two bowlers on the list.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc (354) and Sri-Lankan pacer Nuwan Kulasekara (324) occupy the fourth and fifth spot on the list.

In the second T20I played in Edgbaston, England pacers led by Richard Gleeson and Chris Jordon dominated the Indian batters as Men in Blue posted a respectable total of 170/8 with contributions from captain Rohit Sharma (31) and Ravindra Jadeja (46*).

Thanks to the Indian pace attack, which was led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah, the game was won by the visitors after bowling England out for 121 runs in the second T20I at Birmingham on Saturday. Only David Willey (33*) and Moeen Ali (35) could add some respectable results from the England innings.The third and final T20I between the two sides is at Trent Bridge Nottingham on July 10.
