Afghanistan Announces Jonathan Trott as its head coach

(The Quiver) :The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced that Jonathan Trott will be heading the coaching duties for the Afghanistan cricket team.


Having previously worked with the England’s Men’s team, England Lions and the U19 sides, the 41 year-old played 200 international matches for England.
“I’m honored and thrilled to have the chance to lead one of the most exciting teams in international cricket through what is a crucial year for their collective development as a team,” Trott said.
During the T20 World Cup 2021, he also worked as batting consultant for Scotland.
He bid adieu from cricket back in 2018.
He will take charge during Afghanistan tour to Ireland which consists 5 T20Is starting from August 9th 2022.
