Debate between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss gets cancelled: Know why

(The Quiver): On Tuesday, the host of a televised debate between the candidates for the position of British prime minister collapsed live on television.

The host named Kate McCann who fainted on air when the debate was happening.

The altercation occurred approximately 30 minutes into the hour-long discussion, during which Truss and Sunak sparred about taxes, how to assist people facing rising living expenses, and the most effective method to fund the National Health Service.

When the transmission was interrupted, the camera focused on Truss, who winced and exclaimed, “Oh my God.”

In the other hand, Liz Truss is a British politician who has held the position of Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs.

The two are competing to succeed Johnson, who stepped down as head of the ruling Conservative Party on July 7 after months of ethics problems led to a major flight of ministers from his administration.
