Dhawan, Iyer move up in ICC ODI rankings

(The Quiver): On Wednesday, Indian standing captain Shikhar Dhawan and batter Shreyas Iyer moved up the batting charts in the latest ICC rankings.

After scoring 97 in the 1st Odi international against West-indies, Dhawan moved up 13th, while Shreyas Iyer who scored consecutive fifties gained him 20 places to 54th spot.

Shai Hope, the vice-captain and opener for the West Indies, has moved up three spots to 12th after scoring a heroic 115 in the second game, and fast bowler Alzarri Joseph has moved up two spots to reach 16th place.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma lose one spot each in the ODI rankings.

Meanwhile, In the ODI series between England and South Africa, which ended with a 1-1 tie, Quinton de Kock, a standout for the Proteas, benefited the most by moving up two spots to fourth position.

Abdullah Shafique, the opening batsman for Pakistan and Player of the Match for his second innings knock of 160 against Sri Lanka in the first Test at Galle, moved up 23 spots to position 16 in the ICC Men’s Test Player rankings.
