Chennaiyin FC rope in Defender Ajith Kumar
(The Quiver): Ajith Kumar has been signed by Chennaiyin FC for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League. He will join his home team after a two-year stay with Bengaluru FC.
The 25-year old who usually plays in the left back position has played in 13 matches in the last season for Bengaluru FC.
He made his debut for Chennai City in 2018, and he was crucial to the team’s first I-League championship. He continued on to take part in all 20 league games.
“It’s nice to return to my hometown, but this time as a member of Chennaiyin FC. I can’t wait to perform in front of my fans.” he said.
During his two-year stint with Chennai City, He participated in 42 matches, including the Super Cup and the AFC Cup.
