Indian Lawn Bowls Team Clinch Historic Gold At Commonwealth Games

(The Quiver): On Tuesday, It was indeed a dream come true moment for India as the quarter of four in the lawns bowls event secured a gold for the first time in Commonwealth Games 2022.

 The group of Rupa Rani Tirkey, Pinki, Lovely Choubey and Nayanmoni Saikia beat the South Africa (17-10) in the summit final clash.

 In the event, We wanted to up our game not just for our team but for the nation also. The doors will remain shut if we go without winning any medals. I want to thank our federation, the media and our manager in charge Mrs Anju for their kind and valuable support they filled in with us. Lovely Choubey said.

Meanwhile, in the mixed badminton event, India suffered a loss to Malaysia 1-3 to win a silver.

India men’s table tennis team continued to blossom in the Commonwealth Games, as they went to defeat Singapore 3-1 to win their second consecutive gold on Tuesday.
