Real Madrid Win Their Fifth Successive UEFA Super Cup

(The Quiver): To begin their season with the win, Real Madrid record their fifth title win the UEFA super cup by defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0.

David Alaba and Karim Benzema both scored goals to put the team ahead against Eintracht in the final.

“It is difficult at the beginning of the season to be top form but now we have won the season to start well.” Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said.

Eintracht were playing without their key man Filip Kostic who was the shining light in their Bundesliga season last week.

with that 65th minute goal, Karim Benzema moves to second position with 324 goals in all-time Real Madrid scoring list. Cristaino Ronaldo stays the top with 450 goals to his name.

Real Madrid are now joined with AC Milan and Barcelona with five titles.
