Clinical New Zealand clinch series against West-Indies

(The Quiver): On Saturday, New Zealand registered a comprehensive win over the West-Indies by 90 runs to take a 2-0 lead in Kingston.

As it happened

After opting to bat first by Kane Williamson, Glenn Phillips 76 (41) and Daryl Mitchell 48 (20) propelled the visitors to 215-5 which turned out to be the highest score against the Caribbean in T20Is. Devon Conway made a decent contribution at the top with quick fire 42.

“It is absolutely special for me to be able to earn a 50 for my nation out here in front of a crowd that I really adore.” Phillips said.

In the last 10 overs, New-Zealand went on to score 130 runs.

In reply, West Indies produced a dismal show with the bat as they were bundled out for 125-9.

Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell were the stand out bowlers for New-Zealand.

The duo picked up 6 wickets between them which led the visitors to win the T20 series comfortable at the Sabina Park, Kingston.
