New Low Pressure likely to form over Odisha from August 19th

(The Quiver): A new low pressure region is predicted to develop in the North Bay of Bengal on August 19th. Over southern Myanmar and surrounding regions, a cyclone is active up to 5.8 km in the sky, and as a result, a low pressure area is predicted to emerge in the North Bay of Bengal region around August 19.

This will cause rain to fall in several state districts. Rainfall will rise starting on August 18. Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Dhenkanal districts have all received a yellow warning due to the heavy rain on the 17th.

Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Dhenkanal districts have received a yellow warning owing to heavy rain which will occur on 18th.

Various rivers are currently flowing above the danger mark in many locations. Some villages have experienced flooding as a result of the floodwater entering them. The next 24 hours are crucial for the state.

In the river system, the flood caused two damages yesterday. Today, there were two additional accidents. These details about the flood situation in the state were provided by Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena.
