Jhulan Goswami to Retire from Cricket after final ODI at Lord’s

(The Quiver): On Saturday, Veteran Indian Fast Bowler Jhulan Goswami will bid adieu to her international cricket after playing her final game against England at Lord’s on September 24. She was initially named in the upcoming series against England.

Goswami started playing for the international team at the age of 19 in March 2002. Over the course of two decades, she took part in 12 Tests, 68 T20 internationals, and 201 ODIs.

Hailing from small town Chakdaha, she made her ODI debut against England in 2006. She has taken part in six world cups during her 201-match ODI career, including the 2017 tournament where India advanced to the final.

With 352 wickets across all formats to her name, she will exit the game as the leading wicket-taker in women’s internationals.

India will compete in three ODIs on September 18, 21, and 24, as well as three T20Is on September 10, 13, and 15 against England.
