G-20 Summit to be Hosted by India in September 2023

(The Quiver): India will take over the G20 leadership in December and hold the summit of the heads of the twenty major economies in the world in New Delhi on September 9–10, 2023.

Beginning in December of this year, India’s Presidency is anticipated to convene and over 200 preparatory and other meetings all across nation. The search for suitable locations to host these sessions has already begun, with locations spanning from Tamil Nadu to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Sources, On September 9 and 10, 2023, the G20 Leaders’ Summit will be held in New Delhi, with Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE serving as guest countries.

The G20 is the foremost forum for worldwide economic cooperation because it represents 85% of the global GDP, 75% of international trade, and two-thirds of the world’s population.

India is currently a member of the G20 Troika, consisting of the outgoing, current, and future G20 Presidency and also consists of Indonesia, Italy, and India.

G20 members are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the European Union (EU). All of the member nations will discuss topics such as “women’s empowerment, digital public infrastructure, health, agriculture, education, culture, tourism, climate financing, circular economy, global food security, energy security, green hydrogen, disaster risk reduction and resilience, fight against economic crime, and multilateral reforms” at the upcoming summit.
