Dropping these bowlers would not be fair: Anil Kumble
(The Quiver): Anil Kumble, a former India coach, has claimed that benching Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel in front of the Netherlands would not be right. On October 27, Team India will square up against the Netherlands in their second Super-12 match.
I don’t see any changes in the Sydney game against the Dutch. It’s unfair to Ashwin or Axar if someone gets dropped from the team. Bring in Chahal for one of them if you want to make a change. But I don’t see it happening against the Netherlands. Unless a niggle or injury could prompt the change. Anil Kumble said.
“Depending on how the powerplay goes, have Arshdeep bowl one or two. In the powerplay, I’d have Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl the bulk of the overs.” He added
India are currently placed 2nd in the points table of Group 2 of Super 12 stage.
