These Two Teams will meet in the T20 World Cup Final; Ricky Ponting

(The Quiver): On Thursday, Ricky Ponting, a former captain of Australia, has hoped that India and Australia will square off in the T20 World Cup final at Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2022.

Only 10 days remain until the game, which is scheduled for Sunday, November 13. India is reasonably certain that they will advance to the tournament’s semi-finals as the Super-12 stages come to a finish, while Australia is still waiting to hear their fate.

Who knows who will perform in Melbourne, to be completely honest. Australia needs to find a method to go beyond the group, I hope. The only unbeaten team remaining is South Africa, so they will be a threat, but I’ll repeat what I said at the outset: the final will be an Australia vs. India match.

Every time I played in a major game, especially when I was in Australia’s captain, I would tell the players to enjoy the moment for what it is. It’s not a game, so don’t allow it get away from you or treat it that way. You won’t be trying to hide anything and will perform better if you can communicate to yourself and others that is a broader game.

Australia’s current campaign has been more inconsistent than their last one, which led to a crushing defeat to New Zealand. Their chances of making it to the semi-finals were further hampered by the cancellation of the England game, but given the current state of Group 1, anything is possible.
