19-year-old Holger Beats 21-time Grand Slam Champion

(The Quiver): On Sunday, the 21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic was defeated by 19-year-old Holger Rune in the Paris Masters final, giving him the biggest win of his career.

Rune defeated Djokovic in his fourth straight ATP tour final by a score of 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 and prevented him from winning the Paris Masters for the seventh time. With 19 victories in his last 21 games, Rune is now poised to create a stir in the upcoming campaign.

“To beat Novak. It’s definitely the nicest feeling of the week to be able to defeat him in this situation in the championship.” Holger Rune said.

Following a few solid weeks on the tour, Holger Rune’s victory at the Paris Masters made him the first Danish player to be rated in the top 10 of the men’s singles rankings.
