(The Quiver): On Monday, the chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, blamed the Bhartiya Janata Party for the bridge collapse in Morbi, Gujarat, which resulted in 135 fatalities.

“Although the BJP has ruled Gujarat for the past 27 years, their leadership has been revealed by the Morbi bridge collapse tragedy. Before this occurrence, the BJP government had already come under fire for managing the coronavirus epidemic and deaths related to the botad hooch tragedy.” The Chief Minister of Rajasthan said.

“It is unexpected that the state administration has not yet established such a probe. Today, The High Court has so taken suo moto cognizance. I demand that a commission be established, headed by a sitting or former HC judge, so that victims can receive justice.” He added.

The state’s Home and Urban Housing departments, as well as the State Human Rights Commission and municipal officials from the Morbi district, have all received notices from the Gujarat High Court requesting a report from the state government.
