Flossie becomes Oldest Living Cat in the world

(The Quiver): On Thursday, Flossie, a British cat, set a new record for being the “oldest living cat” with an age of 26 years and 329 days, or almost 120 human years.

According to sources, the cat is currently residing in the British town of Orpington with its owner Vicki Green. Flossie is deaf and has low vision, but she is otherwise in good health.

In 2022, Flossie’s previous owner was forced by circumstances to make the painful choice to give his cat to volunteers at Cats Protection, a UK organisation devoted to rescuing and rehoming stray, abandoned, or homeless cats.

According to Guinness World Records, Creme Puff, who outlives Flossie by ten years, is the oldest cat to ever live. It was born in Texas on August 3, 1967, and it passed away there on August 6, 2005, when it was 38 years, 3 days old.
