INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA: 2ND TEST MATCH UPDATES

IND vs SA: India opt to Bat, KL Rahul Leading As Virat Kohli Out With Back Spasm.

(The Quiver) India won the toss and opted to bat first in the second Test match at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Monday. The big news is that Virat Kohli has been ruled out with a back spasm and KL Rahul is leading India.

Hanuma Vihari has replaced Kohli in the XI. South Africa, on the other hand, have brought in Duanne Oliver in their XI. A high on confidence Indian side are hoping to seal their maiden series win in the Rainbow Nation.

India had won the first Test comfortably by 113 runs and there is no reason why they can’t do it again in this Test. For the record, India have never lost a Test in Johannesburg – they have won two and drawn three. India’s pace attack – rated as the best currently by many – will enjoy the pace and bounce at the Wanderers. The form of their famed middle order comprising Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane remains a concern but the Indian think tank would believe in the famous old saying of form being temporary and class permanent.

South Africa Playing XI: Dean Elgar(c), Aiden Markram, Keegan Petersen, Rassie van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma, Kyle Verreynne(w), Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Duanne Olivier, Lungi Ngidi

India Playing XI: KL Rahul(c), Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant(w), Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
