(The Quiver) Today ,PM Modi thanked CM Channi . It happened so PM Modi was to board for the National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala by helicopter. But due to rain and poor visibility, it was decided that he would travel by road, which would take more than 2 hours.

PM Modi’s convoy was stuck on a flyover in Punjab for nearly 20 minutes due to farmers blocking the flyover. The PM’s convoy was stuck on the flyover and private cars could be seen approaching the cavalcade. This marked a major security lapse. For this the PM had to return to Bathinda airport.

“Around 30 kms away from National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainwala, when the PM’s convoy reached a flyover, it was found that the road was blocked by some protestors. The PM was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in the security of PM,” said the MHA.

MHA further said that the Punjab government did not deploy additional security as a contingency plan to secure any movement by road. After this the PM’s convoy headed back to Bathinda.

Sarcastically commenting on this incident, the PM quoted, “Apne CM ko thanks kehna, ki mein Bhatinda airport tak zinda laut paaya.”
