NEW GOOGLE CHROME

(The Quiver) : Tech giant Google is changing the logo of chrome browser . Google has changed the logo of chrome after 8 years. According to Google chrome designer Elvin Hu  certain changes were necessary to correct some flaws in the previously designed logo and also for giving it a modern look.

Announcing on twitter Hu mentioned that the changes have been made based on the different operating systems Chrome appears on ,like on ChromeOS, brighter colors without gradient are used to match the looks of the rest of system icons , 3D  look for macOS  and colorful ribbons are applied to Beta & Dev  .

The new logo started rolling out from February 4 and is currently available on Chrome Canary (the developer version of the browser). It will be rolled out for everyone else over the next few months.

Elvin Hu quoted ,“We simplified the main brand icon by removing the shadows, refining the proportions and brightening the colors, to align with Google’s more modern brand expression.”
