BCCI Dropped Pujara, Rahane From Test Series
(The Quiver) : BCCI dropped Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane from the Test side as they have been excluded from squads to play in the Test and T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Ravichandran Ashwin has been included in the side but his availability for the series will be subject to fitness. Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill also returned to the squad after passing the fitness test while there is also a call-up for left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar. KL Rahul will also be absent due to concerns surrounding his fitness.
