AAP’s BROOM SWEEPS AWAY CONGRESS FROM PUNJAB? KNOW WHAT IS IT AN EXCEPTIONAL WIN?

(The Quiver) : Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party, in its second attempt, has sweeped away congress from Punjab, the eight-year-old political enjoying its victory of second state after Delhi.

“This shows AAP is the natural and national replacement of the Congress,” said Raghav Chadha, who ran the Punjab campaign for this party .

Today ,by 9 am, it was clear that Punjab had choose AAP. AAP was on the second place in the last election five years ago. This time around, all exit polls gave AAP the clear lead in Punjab.
In fact, the party’s phenomenal result (89 of 117 seats based on leads at 11 am) was at the cost of the incumbent Congress, which, at 10.30 am, had crashed to 13 seats compared to 77 in 2017.

Recently before elections ,opposition leaders had accused that Punjab’s security would be compromised if AAP was given charge of the state and outsiders like Kejriwal spreads disturbance and anti- nationalism in Punjab . These accusations against AAP failed to convince the voters of Punjab.

“Kejriwal will be Prime Minister,” said AAP’s Raghav Chadha, emphasising that the party has proved that its governance model in Delhi is winning over other states. The scale of AAP’s victory will embolden the party to claim Arvind Kejriwal should be the leader of an anti-BJP league for the next general election in two years.

Hope our political leaders will change their mindset up after this elections results. Janta of India expects much beyond than luring assurances of roti, kapada, makan, that are developmental works which are needed to be done in every aspect of life of a common man. The political leaders cannot fool people but can get their votes by working for country’s development.
