HIGH LEVEL TALK CONDUCTED BETWEEN THE TWO FMs AFTER WANG ARRIVES IN NEW DELHI

(The Quiver) : China’s Foreign minister Wang Yi met Foreign minister S Jaishankar in Delhi on Friday.

After his India visit,The two foreign ministers are holding delegation level talks in the national capital. In a tweet, S Jaishankar shared a picture of the two of them together and wrote: “Greeted Chinese FM Wang Yi at Hyderabad House. Our discussions commence shortly.- (sic)”.

The Chinese minister has also met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in Delhi.Wang will be visit to Nepal later in the day.

This is the first visit by the Chinese foreign minister since tensions arose at the border of the two countries in 2020 . Twenty Indian soldiers died in the line of duty in a clash where Beijing also suffered a loss of its troops.

People must be thinking that this meeting will restart physical engagement after a prolonged standoff but the diplomacy experts have something else to say ,according to them,Wang Yi visited India but kept his heart for Pakistan as during his Pakistan Visit the Chinese minister had made a reference to Kashmir in his opening speech at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Pakistan, saying: “On Kashmir, we have heard again today the calls of many of our Islamic friends. And China shares the same hope.”
