Odisha Budget Session 2022 Begins :CM Naveen Attended Assembly Budget Session After 2 Years

(The Quiver) : Budget session of Odisha Assembly for the year 2022-23 began today with an address of Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal. For the first time, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the session post pandemic.In past two years, he was attending the House on virtual mode due to COVID-19 protocol.

The 9th session of 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly commenced with adherence to COVID-19 protocol. The Budget for the year 2022-2023 will be presented by State Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari on March 30 and the Appropriation Bill will be tabled on March 31.

The Budget session will last for only seven days. The discussion on Governor’s Address will take place for two days on March 26 and March 28. The session will conclude on March 31.
