NCB PRIME WITNESS OF ARYAN KHAN’S DRUG CASE DIED

(The Quiver) : Prabhakar Sail ,an important  witness of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the high-profile cruise ship drug raid case which involved Aryan Khan , died of a heart attack at his residence in Mahul area in Chembur .

A police official said, “Prabhakar Sail (37) died of a heart attack at his house in Mahul on Friday evening. He was rushed to the civic-run Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar, where he was declared brought dead”.

Sail claimed to be the bodyguard of NCB witness KP Gosavi, had alleged in an affidavit that he had heard Gosavi discuss a Rs 25 crore pay-off deal with another person after Aryan Khan was arrested during a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 3 last year. “You put a bomb of 25 crores and let’s settle at 18 final, because we have to give 8 crores to Sameer Wankhede,” the affidavit quoted.

Aryan Khan was named among the accused in the case along with 19 others by the NCB. The accused persons were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for alleged possession, consumption, sale/purchase of banned drugs, conspiracy and abetment, among others.

Of the 20 arrested accused in the case, only two are currently in judicial custody and the rest are out on bail.

Sail is survived by his mother, wife and two kids. His family members have not suspected any foul play behind his death till now. Further inspections on this case will clarify whether sail’s death is a murder or a natural heart attack.
