YELLOW WARNING ALERT FOR ODISHA : THUNDERSTORM AND LIGHTNING IN 24 HOURS

Bhubaneswar (The Quiver) : Today , Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted , thunderstorm with lightning for 24 districts of Odisha. “Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Koraput, Rayagada, and Kandhamal,” a weather bulletin stated.

“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Boudh, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur,” forecasted Bhubaneswar MeT .

The thunderstorm in several districts will be continued subsequently for two days. Yellow warning is issued till April 24 morning as predicted by the Meteorological centre.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara,Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Keonjhar,Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal from April 22 to 23.

Similarly, Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati and Mayurbhanj between April 23 and 24.

Due to thunderstorm, maximum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius during next 2 days. After this temperature is likely to increase gradually by 3 to 4 degree Celsius in subsequent 3 days over the districts of Odisha.
