Mumbai(The Quiver) On Saturday Hollywood actor Will Smith spotted at Mumbai airport. This is his first public appearance after Oscars 2022 controversy.
Will Smith had slapped comedian Chris Rock on the Academy Awards stage last month and has been off the public radar since, making this his first public appearance since the incident.
The “King Richard” superstar waved at media persons and humbly greeted the fans who came to click pictures with him. The actor was accompained by a person who seemed to be a monk, dressed in saffron clothes typically worn by sadhus.
Purpose of Will Smith India visit
King Richard actor Will Smith made The 53-year-old actor was clicked in Mumbai with a spiritual guru. The actor sported a simple white tee along with what appears to be a spiritual thread wrapped around his neck for his visit to the country.Will is close to Sadhguru and in the past, he even hosted the prominent spiritual leader at his house. The actor even shot a video of their meeting.
He visited India multiple times in past , he had visited Haridwar in 2019 as part of his Facebook Watch series; and also shot for his cameo in ‘Student of the Year 2’ in Mumbai, according to news agency ANI report.
As per a source , Will was staying at the JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu and left Mumbai on Saturday. Will has had a long relationship with India and has visited the country multiple times in the past. He’s been to the Ganga aarti in Varanasi and even met spiritual leader Sadhguru for his video series.
