(The quiver) : 5 years ago  Elon Musk asked the price of Twitter , now he is the owns Twitter . Elon musk the richest man of earth has finally bought a 100 percent stake in popular microblogging site Twitter. The CEO of Tesla offered to buy the whole company for $44 billion, or $54.20 per share.

On December 21, 2017, Musk casually tweeted “I love Twitter”. A Twitter user then suggested that Musk should simply buy the whole company, to which Musk replied “How much is it?”.The original tweet has over 1.74L likes and over 35,000 retweets and quote tweets at the time of writing this.

Musk has publicly announced that he sees immense potential in the platform and wants to unlock it by having full control over the company. Earlier today, Musk also said that free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is a digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated. He further added that he would want to make Twitter “better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating spambots, and authenticating all humans.”

Musk previously had asked Twitter users that if they wanted an edit button for Twitter. It seems this is the time for Musk to bring some new features to Twitter.
