Cyclonic storm over Bay of Bengal ,No landfall in Andhra-Odisha coast , Asani to move northwestwards.. Know in detail
Bhubaneswar (The Quiver) : No danger to Odisha as the cyclonic storm will not make landfall in the state. The cyclonic storm has spared Andhra-Odisha . But due to effect of it some parts of Odisha and Andhra will experience severe rainfall.
As informed by The metrological department of India,” A Low Pressure Area lies over South Andaman Sea & adjoining Southeast BoB at 0830 hours IST of today, .To move northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over southeast Bay of Bengal by 7th May evening and into a Cyclonic Storm over eastcentral Bay of Bengal by 8th May evening”.
As informed by Special Relief commissioner(SRC) Pradeep Jena, the low pressure has concentrated into a well-marked low pressure and it is likely to move northwestward and intensify into a depression over southeast Bay of Bengal during next six hours and further into a cyclonic storm by May 8.
IMD senior scientist RK Jenamani Stated, “By May 10th evening, it will reach west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coast. Thereafter, it is very likely to recurve north-northeastwards and move towards northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast.”
Jenamani confirmed , “It will move away from Odisha coast and recurve from May 10 evening and there is no possibility to touch coast.”
